East Village were an indie-pop band formed in 1986 by brothers Martin and Paul Kelly. Like a lot of cool bands of that period, they were influenced by the jangle of The Byrds and the melodies of The Beatles. They released a bunch of singles and one album, ‘Drop Out’, in their 5 year career. ‘Hotrod Hotel’ is a compilation gathering together the best bits.
