How about Eydie singing her heart out accompanied by arrangements by Don Costa, Michel Legrand, Peter Matz, Jack Elliot and Nelson Riddle?! That’s what awaits you on this 1981 album, which this CD reissue garnishes with six bonus tracks. Of particular note are Eydie’s renditions of “God Bless the Child” and “‘Round Midnight,” which were anchored by the original takes of just her and Costa on acoustic guitar. Beautiful stuff!
